About the Position

Under the direction of the Director of Programs or designee, the parent education specialist will coordinate the implementation of evidenced-based prevention and community wellness services to youth, families, and community partners. The Specialist will be working closely with City, County and school-based staff.

Pajaro Valley Prevention & Student Assistance, Inc (PVPSA) has been the leader of youth prevention and intervention services in the greater Pajaro Valley. Duties & Responsibilities

Facilitation of parent/family education presentations, and engagement activities.
Confers with school administrators and community partners regarding the parenting programs
Coordinates all parent education programs/activities, meetings, workshops, and childcare accommodations
Provides and obtains information, explains programs and promotes parent participation in programs
Collects information necessary to assist in the evaluation of programs delivered
Serves as the liaison in community partnership meetings with governmental and non-governmental agencies and conducts public presentations as needed
With support from the Program Director, ensures that program related reports are submitted as required.

Manage multiple projects effectively

Training & Experience

Requires an AA degree with two (2) years of progressively responsible experience OR a BA degree and at a year in an education implementation in a school setting or other youth/ family community service environment. Bilingual skills required (Spanish/English)

Salary and Benefits

Salary Scale: $46,363- $49,275
